There is no simple way to answer this, since a lot of factors can determine how quickly your website is built. Usually we can present a proof based off of our initial concept meeting in under a week. Then it will depend on how quickly you can provide us content (text, photos, etc) for your website pages.
We’ll add your website content as soon as it is provided, and continue working together with you on design, content, layout, etc. until you are completely satisfied.

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) & PPC (Pay Per Click) are the best ways to help people find your site.
SEO uses key words and organizes other important information to allow popular search engines like Google, Yahoo, and Bing to index your site.
PPC is advertising on popular search engines, guaranteeing placement in the ad section of their search results.

We always recommend SEO! You want to be able to be found. Having a website will do you no good if nobody can find it, and SEO is how it’s done.
PPC is your call. You don’t need it, but if you have a special product or want to advertise an event, PPC is very effective in targeting your audience.

Of course. With all of our website packages we include an hour of training! We have found that sometimes having us editing your items will save you time and money, depending on the difficulty (like formatting web enhanced photos, optimizing keyword links, etc.), but if you have a quick sentence change or want to delete something real fast…it is very simple.
And we’ll teach you how!

There are no hidden charges. What is listed on our website is what you will pay. Bottom line. There are a few options for monthly charges, including hosting, domain name registration, monthly maintenance plans, and specific PPC options.
They are all very clear and listed upfront. You’ll never feel like you have been swindled. We are in the business of making relationships, not one-time sales.

Web hosting is renting space on the internet. There are many different hosting options out there, paid and free.
Free hosting usually comes with hidden problems, like no support, advertisements, logo placements on your page, down time, etc. (If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.) If you want something professional for your company that won’t chase visitors away, you will want paid hosting.
Paid hosting services come with control panels, tech support, fast speeds, etc. We offer great, fast, and reliable web hosting with our websites, and even discount your web development if you book with us.

We’re individually working with you. There are no long waiting tech support calls being forwarded to other counties. You let us know the problem, and we’ll work hard to fix it (assuming you’ll have any problems).
Also, keeping things in the same place is convenient. You can certainly get your own hosting, and we can set up the FTP and Name Server directories if necessary to point in the right direction.
A domain name is skillfulantics.staging.wpengine.com. It’s a name that links to your hosting and allows visitors to see your website. A domain name is also rented, and has to be registered with an ICANN database.
Domain names can cost anywhere from $15-$30/year. We usually throw one in for you with a web design package. However, some companies buy oodles of domain names to resell them; if you find yourself looking at a domain name that has already been purchased, you should expect to pay much more, and still pay a yearly fee.
Yes. That is no problem; we just need some FTP information. But we have found that sometimes it’s just worth your while not to deal with all the technical things, and focus more on growing your business.

Companies sell SEO packages in different ways: some of them with a flat rate, sometimes a monthly charge, etc. It all depends on who you’re working with. You can find much more information about our SEO package services.
Nobody knows. Haha, just kidding. Search engines have an always-changing algorithm to index pages and boost your ratings. Nobody can guarantee top ratings because of this changing algorithm, and each search engine is different. There are three major factors that web developers can manage to optimize your ratings, and those are:
PPC stands for Pay Per Click. Some companies love it, and for some it is not as effective. It’s basically specialized advertising on the internet. For example, you can set a target market, your daily budget, what time you want your ad to appear, and even set where you don’t want your ad to appear.
You would want PPC, if… let’s say you own a website that sells tea, and you want to attract people during the rainy season who search for green tea and direct them to your website. You might want a PPC campaign advertising your great tea specials during that month.
It all depends on your type of business. It’s like advertisement in a newspaper, except it specifically targets your audience, and you only pay for the amount of people who actually go to your website.
PPC can be very expensive, or relatively inexpensive; it depends on your budget and the keywords you want advertised. For instance, if you want to advertise “DC Presidential Election,” that keyword phrase would cost more per click than “My Town’s School Board Election.”
It has to do with how popular your keyword is, and how much you are willing to bid for top placement. Other things depend on location (local or national), time of day, etc. We can work with you and help you establish a manageable budget.

It is a skilled art. It takes time, dedication, and the combination of text, images, and other elements to create an effective message. It’s vital for your company. Here at Skillful Antics, we offer that service by the hour, by the job, or as part of a monthly plan.
Freelance rates average from $30-$40 (Low end/students) $40-$100 (medium end/small studios and seasoned freelancers like us) and $100+ (large agencies). All of our freelance pricing is presented to you upfront. (We’re giving away some trade secrets.)
If you have a lot of work coming up, and don’t want to hire an in-house designer for a few hours a month, monthly plans could end up saving you a lot of money. You are only billed for what you use, there are roll-over hours, and it’s quick. With a roll-over package, you’re placed at top priority with turnaround times usually around 0-2 days.
Chances are you want your business to shine above the competition. Developing a solid brand, website, etc. makes or breaks a customer’s first impression. Find out everything you might need to brand your business in our Branding FAQ
Of course, but I always recommend thinking down this road.
It depends on the change. If it’s minor, we offer discounts (20-50%); if it’s a whole new direction, plan on a whole new charge.

If you are planning on being successful, you want great branding and something that is timeless… that you won’t need to change every year. You will want a logo, business cards, and a website. You’ll want that website to get noticed with SEO, and perhaps PPC. And, because social media is bursting at the seams, I would consider a Facebook page and Twitter account.

You want to make a mark, be simplistic, easily recognized, and timeless. (Think Nike, Coca-Cola, etc.) You also want it to link to something in your company. If you are a restaurant, have something in your logo that represents you. After we discuss your likes and dislikes, we will present you with three options; then, you can make two revisions on one of them. If you need more than two revisions, we’ll work with you until you’re 100% satisfied.
You need a domain name, hosting, and a website developer.
